Majlis Peperiksaan Malaysia (MPM) which was established on 1 February 1980 under the Akta Majlis Peperiksaan Malaysia [Act 225] is a statutory body operating under the auspices of the Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia. The inauguration ceremony for the establishment of MPM was completed by the Menteri Pelajaran Malaysia at that time, namely YB Dato' Musa bin Hitam on 22 April 1980.
