SYNOPSIS: A teenager summons the courage to help a friendly robot known as A.R.I. kidnapped by a ruthless lab director working for a powerful corporation seeking to turn him into a dangerous weapon in order to rule the world.

The film follows the story of Noah Haley, a young teen with a great knack for tinkering and gaming, but not for making many friends. Apart from his cyber friend and classmate, Bethany, Noah has no one to call his friend, making him lonely most of the time when he has to stop gaming. However, all of this changes when his father takes him down to the science lab he works at, where Noah discovers a seemingly dormant robot named A.R.I, who was left unguarded in one of the test rooms.

Seeing this as an opportunity, Noah steals A.R.I. and brings him back home. Little does Noah know that this robot is not only very alive, he is very much like a human, and is in search of his father and creator, Professor Eggy. Together, with the help of Bethany, Noah and A.R.I. set out on a journey to find his creator, all the while being hunted down by a ruthless lab director who seeks to transform A.R.I. into a merciless weapon.

Through A.R.I., Noah learns to be more accepting of people, as well as vulnerable to the people already in his life, like Bethany and his family. The best examples suited for this are the many instances where A.R.I. protects Noah. Be it from bullies, the cruel lab director, or even a ruthless and barbaric version of himself, A.R.I. never hesitates to protect his friend. This eventually inspires Noah to do the same for A.R.I. when he is finally captured by the lab director and his goons and taken back to the lab to be stripped of his free will.

With the help of A.R.I., Noah saves everyone at the climax of the film, a selfless act he would never have thought to do at the start of the film. Though slowly paced at times, this film ultimately provides the rare lesson of compassion being transferred to others through action, giving kids and adults alike the chance to look within themselves and do the same for others.
